Thank you for your interest in the Madison Bass Club. We are the area’s oldest bass fishing club and affiliated with the FLW, TBF and the Wisconsin Bass Federation.  Yearly dues are $130.00 and this covers memberships to these organizations.  We hold 2 open tournaments per year -The Spring Fling on Lake Wisconsin and The Fall Classic on the Madison Chain.   We also hold the weekly Wednesday Night tournaments on the Madison Chain from May-August.  We generate some income from these events to help offset your travel costs associated with fishing at the club level so your help with our tournaments will be expected.

 

On a club level, we fish 8 tournaments per year with 2 or 4 of these tournaments being over-night events, with the remaining tournaments being within an hour or so drive from Madison.  You will not be required to fish them all, but your top 6 tournaments count towards our year-end standings.  These tournaments are boater/co-angler format and the entry fee is $20 and is split it out into separate pots for total weight and we pay 1 big bass. Top boater and non-boater of the year get their dues paid the following year and get an automatic berth into the TBF’s National Semifinals as well as Wisconsin Bass Federation’s Mr. Bass tournament.  The angler who catches the biggest fish of the year also gets $100.

 

Owning a boat or being an expert angler is not necessary for joining the club!  In fact, joining our club is a great way to get on the water if you don’t own one and gives you a chance to fish with and learn from some of the area’s top bass anglers.  The only thing we ask is that you help your boater out with gas money the day of the tournament.  These fees are set accordingly, depending on where we are fishing that day and usually range between $20 and $50.  Fishing at a club level is also great learning experience for the novice angler.  After our tournaments, many of the guys openly share successful techniques and productive baits.
